GIBSON, La. – Danos has identified the company’s two employees who were killed in an explosion Thursday at a pipeline facility in Gibson.

Samuel Brinlee, 40, of Berwick, and Casey Ordoyne, 36, of Larose, died at the natural gas plant, Danos said in a news release.

“Our employees are part of our extended family, and we are devastated by the loss of Sam and Casey,” said CEO and President Hank Danos. “We ask for thoughts and prayers for the families and loved ones of the deceased, the survivors and all those impacted as we cope with this difficult loss. This is a sad, sad day.”

Eight Danos employees were working at the plant when the explosion occurred about 11 a.m., the company said. Two were treated at Terrebonne General Medical Center for minor injuries.

The company said it is gathering more information about the explosion and cooperating with investigators to help determine the cause.
