HOUMA, La. (KLFY)— Two 25-year-olds arrested after being accused of beating a 3-year-old, authorities said.
According to a news release, on Nov. 2, Terrebonne Parish detectives received a complaint from an anonymous caller regarding a 3-year-old child with severe bruising to the face and black eyes.
On Nov. 3, deputies said the child was then brought into the Sheriff’s Office in the afternoon. A forensic interview was conducted.
Authorities said that the child provided them with information regarding being beaten. Detectives said the information was consistent to the bruises.
The child was seen at multiple hospitals for his injuries prior to the report being filed at the Sheriff’s Office, according to a news release.
After further investigation, detectives said they arrested Cole Rollins Gaspard, 25, and Sarah Gaspard, 25, for the charge of cruelty to a juvenile.
Both suspects bonded out of jail on Nov. 5 after each posting a bond of $5,000.
