BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) – A decision should be coming soon about who will be the permanent replacement for former LSU football head coach, Les Miles.
Miles was fired from the position on September 25, less than 24 hours after a 18-13 loss to Auburn. Ed Orgeron was then promoted to interim head coach, and has held the position since.
Potential candidates for the job who are currently coaching elsewhere would have to be bought out of their current contracts. For the full contract reports for each candidate, click their name below. Candidates for the job include:
- Jimbo Fisher – Florida State ($5 million buyout)
- Tom Herman – Houston ($2.5 million buyout)
- Larry Fedora – North Carolina ($100,000 buyout)
- Mike Gundy – Oklahoma State ($3 million buyout)
- Dana Holgorsen – West Virginia (pending records request)
- Justin Fuente – Virginia Tech (pending records request)
Of course, there’s also the chance that Coach O could be given the job as well.
