MORGAN CITY, La. (KLFY) A person was killed Sunday morning and Morgan City police are now searching for the driver who is believed to have hit the victim and then left.

Police say they found the body around 2:30 a.m., laying in the roadway on Hwy.182 near Grizzati Street.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

So far the investigation has not revealed what time the victim was hit, however police say they are now searching for any clues that might lead them to the driver.
