NASHVILLE (WATE) – Tennessee-based restaurant chain Logan’s Roadhouse announced it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Monday and will close 18 underperforming locations.

Restaurant officials say the filings are part of a consensual plan between owners, first-lien lenders and bondholders to restructure the company. As a result, CEO Sam Borgese is leaving the company.

Logan’s says it will close 18 restaurants that are underperforming and will focus on “key operational initiatives” to improve guests’ experience. Logan’s says it will reassign employees to other Logan’s restaurants and provide them with outplacement services and assistance with applying for jobs.

A list of the restaurant locations which will be closing is not yet available.
