With just days away from Super bowl 50 and the NFL is looking back at the past 49 games by recognizing high schools that have produced Super bowl contenders.
Carencro native and former New England Patriot Kevin Faulk was recognized Friday night for his accomplishments.
Competing in the Super bowl is the dream of many young football players. But only some athletes will go on to perform on the NFL’s biggest stage.
Carencro native and 13 year New England Patriot Kevin Faulk is one of the few.
The former running back helped his team win 3 super bowls.
On Friday night at a Carencro basketball game, Faulk was presented a gold ball as part of the NFL’s High School Super bowl Honor Roll.
Ahead of the Golden Game, the NFL is celebrating high schools that have produced super bowl players and coaches.
Faulk, says he’s always happy to represent his Alma Mater
“Always a great feeling when you’re doing something positive back home and that’s one of the reasons I came back home and to be able to give that golden ball back to my school is a very good feeling for me…I just love being back home and enjoying it!”
From 2002 to 2005, Faulk helped the patriots win super bowls 36, 38 and 39.
