LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) – Two Lafayette men are behind bars after an early morning home break-in.
Multiple news outlets report 30-year-old Skylar Jones and 22-year-old Shawn Touchet held a 25-year-old man at gunpoint Wednesday at an apartment in River Ranch while stealing electronics and money.
Police say one man forced his way into the apartment to steal property and hold the victim at gunpoint. The second man, whom the victim told police he knew, is accused of calling the apartment’s other occupants before the robbery, convincing them to leave.
Both are being held the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
It is unclear if either suspect has a lawyer.
Meanwhile, police have recovered the weapon used in the holdup and the property stolen.
