The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting that left two women dead and a man injured.
Police say they were called to the scene of a shooting at the Cottages Apartments in the 700 block of Ben Hur Drive around 2 a.m. Sunday.
When they arrived at the scene, they found three people, 2 females and a male, suffering from gunshot wounds.
One woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The second woman was taken to a local hospital where she later died.
The male, who is 24-years-old, was also taken to a local hospital. His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
According to police, both women are 19-years-old and are students at Southern University.
The names of the victims are being withheld pending the ongoing investigation.
Police say they currently have no suspects or motive at this time.
