An Opelousas robbery victim’s attention to detail helped authorities identify the masked armed robbers who attacked him.
The incident happened on February 2nd at a house on Celvinie Lane. The male victim heard a knock at the door around 10:30 p.m. that night when he saw two masked men and one unmasked man standing on his porch, armed with a shotgun.
The suspects forced their way into his house, beat him and held the shotgun to his head before taking cash and other items. In no small feat, the victim escaped his captors.
The victim helped sheriff’s officials identify the armed robbers. Deshawn “Trey” Bocard (18), Roderick Charles Jr. and Loran Hicks Jr. have been arrested and charged with armed robbery. All three are being held on a $150,000 bond each and could face up to 99 years in prison.
