Franklin Police Department responded to 4 complaints over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:
3/5/15 @ 11:43 PM, Terrance Ballet, Jr., 20, of Bud St., Franklin, LA, was arrested by the Morgan City Police Department on a bench warrant for Third Ward City Court for the charges of Speeding and Driving Under Suspension. Ballet was processed and released on a $376.00 cash bond.
3/6/15 @ 1:10 AM, Joseph James, 34, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- 2nd Offense, Resisting an Officer with Force, Disturbing the Peace, and Abuse of Toxic Vapors. James was also arrested on a bench warrant for Third Ward City Court for the charges of No Driver’s License and Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicles. The arrest stems from officers observing James in area of Plantation Drive and having knowledge of the bench warrant. James was found to have narcotics on him and resisted when officers attempted to arrest him. James was processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Nathan Lovell, III, 21, 131 Riverview Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 5, 2015 at 4:57 pm on a Patterson Police Department warrant for possession of stolen property. A deputy was notified by Patterson Police of the active warrant for Lovell’s arrest. The deputy located Lovell at his residence and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Lovell was released on a $500 bond.
Shaddrick Neddie, 38, 1308 James Street, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on March 5, 2015 at 7:43 pm on a warrant for aggravated battery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Neddie turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on a parole violation sanction to serve time. During the booking process, a jailer conducted a standard warrants check and found that Neddie was wanted on the active warrant. The warrant is the result of an investigation into a complaint of a theft received on February 15, 2015. The deputy assigned to the complaint learned that Neddie became angry with a female victim while the two were at a residence in Siracusaville. Neddie struck the female victim in the face with a large bag causing her to fall to the ground before taking her vehicle without her permission. No bail is set.
