Jefferson Davis Parish deputies responded to a disturbance call on Saturday 5, 2016. The deputies were called to 809 N. Hwy 26 in Lake Arthur by an elderly victim.

The victim reported she was injured while trying to keep a man from driving drunk.

When deputies arrived, Justin Trahan, 34 was approached by the responding deputies and it was discovered that he was under the influence of alcohol and had trouble speaking with the deputies and understanding commands.

Trahan was arrested and charged with simple battery of the infirm and booked into the parish jail with no bond.
