A Lafayette man has now been accused of killing two people inside a mobile home near Cade and then setting the home on fire.
Tonight, Dereke Siner is behind bars in West Feliciana Parish.
He is expected to be extradited back to St. Martin Parish sometime this week, where he will face first degree murder charges in the deaths of 68 year old Adeline Etienne and 30 year old Jamie James.
Police say after committting the crimes, Siner left the scene in a vehicle owned by the victim.
He was captured in St. Francisville but not before he allegedly stole 3 vehicles one of which he crashed into the Vermilion River on Surrey Street in Lafayette.
30 year old Jamie James left behind two young children, and now a GoFundMe page has been established to help the family.
