EUNICE, La. (KLFY) – Police are investigating the death of a body that was found in a wooded area along East Magnolia Avenue, near Highway 13, according to Police Chief Randy Fontenot.

A group of men, who were running their rabbit hunting dogs, made the discovery earlier this morning.

Fontenot said authorities are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death.

It’s unclear if the police department is investigating the case as a homicide or suicide.
