BOGALUSA, La. (AP) – The body of 32-year-old Edmund Emerson Adams, who disappeared Wednesday while tubing on the Bogue Chitto River, has been found.
Washington Parish Chief Deputy Mike Haley tells WVUE-TV (http://bit.ly/1eMSapy ) the body was recovered Friday in the river near Enon, Louisiana, around 6 a.m. Authoriities say it was about 50 yards from where he was last seen.
Adams, a native of Prairieville and current resident of New Orleans, was tubing with a group of friends when he disappeared under the water. He was reported missing around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Friends of Adams tell officers he lost control of his tube and disappeared below the surface of the water.
After an extensive search Wednesday and Thursday, Washington Parish deputies confirmed that his body was recovered early Friday morning.
