Bracketology: Indiana, Illinois, Ole Miss, Texas A&M still in?

Will the last four in my current bracket still be in the bracket after Thursday’s games? All four take the floor for the first time in their conference tournaments.

In the Big Ten, Indiana will face Northwestern, which handed the Hooisers their only bad loss of the season two weeks ago in Evanston. Illinois has a little tougher assignment with Michigan. The Illini split overtime games with the Wolverines, with each team winning at home. Illinois does not have a great record vs. top 100 teams, and a loss Thursday makes that even worse.

The SEC tournament continues with Ole Miss playing South Carolina. The Rebels are probably glad not to be hosting the tournament because they are 11-4 away from home this year, but only 9-7 on campus, including their four worst losses. This would obviously be a bad loss, and possibly fatal.

Texas A&M doesn’t have any bad losses, and that is about the best thing you can say about the Aggies, which makes their SEC first-round game against Auburn vital. They do have a sweep of LSU, and will get the Tigers again if they win Thursday.
