LAFAYETTE – The dates and times for the NCAA Softball Norman (Okla.) Super Regional featuring national No. 3 seed Oklahoma (50-7) and national No. 14 seed Louisiana (46-7) have been set.

The Ragin’ Cajuns and Sooners will meet Thursday, May 26 and Friday, May 27 at Marita Hynes Field in Norman, Okla., with all three games on the ESPN family of networks.

Game 1 on Thursday will take place at 8 p.m. (CDT) televised on ESPN2. Game 2 begins Friday at 6 p.m. (CDT) on ESPN2 and the third game, if necessary, is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. (CDT) on ESPNU.NORMAN (OKLA.) SUPER REGIONAL SCHEDULEThursday, May 26

The Ragin’ Cajuns, who are appearing in the NCAA Super Regionals for the fifth consecutive season and seventh in the past nine overall, seek the program’s seventh appearance in the NCAA Women’s College World Series. The winner of the NCAA  Norman, Okla., Super Regional advances to the WCWS set for June 2-8 in Oklahoma City.

Michael Lotief‘s squad last advanced to the WCWS in 2014. Previous WCWS trips for the Ragin’ Cajuns occurred in: 1993, 1995, 1996, 2003, 2008 and 2014.

The Ragin’ Cajuns claimed the NCAA Lafayette Regional with a 9-8 (9 inn.) win over Texas A&M on Sunday for the right to advance to the NCAA Norman (Okla.) Super Regional. Oklahoma defeated Ole Miss 3-0 on Sunday to set up the matchup and advance to its seventh consecutive NCAA Super Regional appearance.

The Ragin’ Cajuns and Sooners last met in the NCAA postseason at the 2014 WCWS in Oklahoma City, a 3-1 OU win. The only prior NCAA postseason meeting in Norman came in the 2005 regional round with the Sooners claiming a 6-3 win in the winner’s bracket final.
