Residents were able to express their concerns to Lafayette Police this morning over a cup of coffee.
All four precinct commanders were on hand at McDonald’s locations across the Hub City this morning to meet with the public for coffee and conversation about their communities.
Captain Billy Soileau says hosting events like this is a way to build a better relationship with the Lafayette community:
“It’s good that they do come out and talk to us. We can find out exactly what’s going on. To call the police about a problem is one thing but we’d like the community to come out and express their concerns on what’s happening in the city.”
Coffee with a cop happens once a month.
