Dayton announced Thursday morning that its head coach, Archie Miller, has agreed to a new contract.

It’s big news for that program and the A-10. Miller has become one of the hottest commodities on the coaching market. Now he’s already taken his name out of consideration for other gigs.

This was Miller’s statement to a Dayton basketball beat writer.

Miller has been the coach of Dayton since 2011. He’s made the NCAA Tournament the past two seasons, winning five games and reaching an Elite Eight. Despite having just six scholarship players for most of the season, UD made the NCAAs. Next year, they’ll only lose Jordan Sibert, in addition to adding coveted recruits John Crosby and Sam Miller.

The Flyers went 27-9 this season and fell on Sunday to No. 3-seeded Oklahoma.
