A Denham Springs man is now in jail after authorities found 45 pounds of synthetic marijuana and $183,699 in cash inside his Baton Rouge storage unit.

Casey Hicks, a spokesperson for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, says narcotics agents with her department and agents from the Department of Homeland security arrested David Eugene Worley, 38, after a joint investigation.

Detectives found  a large weigh scale along with the synthetic marijuana inside Worley’s storage unit.

Worley has been charged with Manufacturing/Distribution of Synthetic Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
