A Somervell county mother was arrested earlier this week after police say she did the unthinkable.
According to deputies, 35-year-old Tasha Shontell Hatcher, of Glen Rose, put her two-year-old child in a heated oven.
Witnesses called police and the toddler was eventually airlifted to Parkland Burn Center in Dallas, to be treated for second and third degree burns.
Officials say as of Sunday morning, the child—who is now in the custody of Child Protective Services—is in stable condition.
Hatcher has been charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury, which is a first-degree felony.
Her bond was set at $300,000 dollars on Saturday.
