Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon says the driver in yesterday afternoon’s single vehicle crash has died.

Samuel Johnie, of Kaplan, has died as a result of his injuries from the crash. Johnie’s 2011 Suzuki Equator was involved in a crash on Cheneau Road near Kaplan.

Deputies are still investigating the crash and KLFY News 10 will bring you more information as it becomes available.
