The Morgan City Police Department today recovered an electronic “Skimming” device, attached to an ATM after it was discovered by employees.

The devices can be extremely sophisticated and camouflaged in a manner which makes it difficult to distinguish and recognize.

These devices are capable of recording the electronic information contained on the users card but can actually video the users introduction of their Personal Identification Number (PIN) into the device.

The Morgan City Police Department has began an investigation into this incident and has contacted other law enforcement agencies in an effort to warn others.
