UPDATE: The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Lafayette and St. Martin Parishes until 8:45 p.m.

KLFY’s Chief Meteorologist Heath Morton is monitoring the situation closely and will keep you updated throughout the night.

Showers and storms will move through Acadiana this evening, and they will move out over the next few hours.

Severe weather chances look low, but we may see some flash flooding as some of these storms are producing 2 to 4 inches of rain across some areas of Acadiana.

Rain chances will go back up tomorrow.
