Four more people have been arrested in connection to a contraband investigation at the Acadia parish jail.

Nadashia Julian (26), along with former correctional officer Lester Landry, was arrested for bringing contraband into a penal institution Landry, a 25-year-old Iota native, was also charged with malfeasance in office in late January. Landry was working part-time with the Acadia Parish sheriff’s office at the time of his arrest. Inmates Kenny Leger, Dwayne Domingue and Joseph Harrison, were all charged with taking contraband to and from a penal institution in addition to their previous charges. Authorities learned Julian would meet up with Landry away from the detention center to pick up the illegal contraband.

Once Landry received, the items and his payment from Julian, the former correctional officer would deliver them to the three inmates.  Julian’s bond has been set at $25,000 Landry is out of jail after posting a $30,000 dollar bond.
