Four people were injured when a car driven by a 96-year-old woman crashed through the front of the Paul R. Spitzfaden Community Center on East Causeway Monday morning.
Mandeville Police said that just before 9 a.m., a Toyota Camry driven by Rita Williams jumped the sidewalk in front of the community center and crashed through the front of the building.
The vehicle plowed through a TV lounge where four people were seated. The vehicles struck the patrons before the car came to a stop.
The four people who were injured were taken to local hospitals and are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
