Evacuees were allowed to return home following the Acadia Parish gas leak.

From the Acadia Parish Sheriffs Office’s:

An Evacuation order has been issued for residents living within a 1 mile radius of LaFosse Rd and Everglade Rd in the Morse area due to a natural gas leak. Residents are urged to turn off the gas in their homes before leaving. According to the Acadia Parish Sheriffs Office the leak was caused by a construction crew operating a backhoe. Natural gas is spewing at the site of the leak and hazmat team in in route.

Those at Midland High School have been evacuated at this time.
