  • Motel 6 in Abbeville is in need of allergy medications, rash medications, soap and food for tonight.

Have supplies you want to drop off? 

The Daily Advertiser will collect supplies starting at 8 a.m. Monday at the Community Room, 1100 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette. Right now, the most needed items are water, non-perishable food, diapers, formula and other baby necessities. Please, no clothes, as more than enough has already been donated. Area churches are also helping with relief efforts:

  • Our Savior’s (midtown) is compiling a list of needs. Relief teams can be sent out to help people with their homes. 
  • The Bayou Church, 2234 Kaliste Saloom Road, is accepting donations.
  • Unity Christian, 211 J B Road, Scott, is accepting donations.
  • 232-help is taking calls and compiling a list of needs from callers in need.
