UPDATE: The boil advisory that was issued on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 for Jefferson Davis Water District #4 has now been lifted.
The Louisiana Department of Health & Hospitals has declared all water in this district safe for consumption.
The Jefferson Davis Water District #4 (Hathaway area) has issued a boil advisory.
A spokesperson for the water system issued the following statement:
“We are currently experiencing electrical problems and water is off at this time. We have an electrical team working to resolve this issue. Once water is restored, Jeff Davis Water District #4 will be under a boil advisory until further notice, due to loss of pressure.”
