ROANOKE, La. (KLFY)– Authorities arrested a Mississippi man in Jefferson Davis Parish over the weekend in connection with a stolen truck.

Early Saturday morning deputies with the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a reckless driver on Hwy 90 between Welsh and Lacassine.
Authorities say they later discovered the vehicle reported abandoned near Roanoke.
Deputies confirmed that the abandoned truck a 2005 Ford F-250 was stolen out of San Antonio, Texas.
Items recovered from the truck identified the driver who fled who witnesses described as a white male, deputies searched the area.
Sunday morning authorities were contacted by railroad police with a report of a trespasser who approached the train’s conductor and spoke with him.
Deputies later located the trespasser near Petos’s truck stop and believing he is in connection with the abandoned vehicle authorities apprehended him on charges of illegal possession of stolen things.
James Dewayne Allen, 38, of Meridian Mississippi was booked with no bond and is being held for San Antonio Police on auto theft charges.
