Lafayette, LA – On March 24, 2015, members of the Lafayette Police Department’s ATAC Section attended the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission’s 7^th Annual DWI Awards Ceremony held in Baton Rouge.  Lafayette Police were recognized by the commission for arresting and removing 744 impaired drivers from the roadways in 2014.  Lafayette Police Officer, Corporal Tyler Mitcham, was recognized for his individual effort for having the most arrests (205 arrests) by a single officer in 2014 compared with other cities in similar size and population in Louisiana.  Other members of the ATAC section include Corporal Tommy Aphaiyarath, Corporal Charles Broussard and Sergeant Royce Starring.
