The Lafayette Parish School System may soon team-up with Cox Communications.

According to Wednesday’s school board meeting agenda, the cable company wants to make an offer. Cox is proposing to provide students of the free lunch program with home internet service at a discounted rate.

On Wednesday, board member Dr. Themi Chassion is to go into the particulars of what’s being offered.
