Lafayette Police have confirmed to KLFY the identity of the man that was shot to death early this morning.

The victim was 30-year-old Amon Bob.

Public Information Officer Nicole Benoit says police responded to reports of gunshots around 1 a.m. in the 1700 block of Simcoe Street.

Officers found Bob’s body lying in the 100 block of Clifford Street when they arrived to the scene.

Benoit says investigators do not have any leads at this time and need the community’s help in solving the case.

This is the fourth unsolved murder in Lafayette since the spring of this year.
