Shortly after 12:00 noon Thursday, deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on Maurice Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that 42 yo Allen Hypolite of New Iberia ran into the side of a Ford pick-up truck as it was turning into a private driveway.  Police say Hypolite was ejected from his motorcycle and transported to a local hospital where he later died.

No charges have been filed at this time and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
