Opelousas Police arrested a man earlier this week after a traffic stop led authorities to drugs.

According to Opelousas Police Chief Donald Thompson, On January 20, 2016, officers with the Opelousas Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for several traffic violations near the intersection of Hall Street and Fern Street.

Police say while speaking to the driver, Stephen Credeur, they observed that he was very nervous.

Police say Creduer then admitted to being in possession of Marijuana, Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, and Lortabs.

Credeur was charged and booked into the Opelousas City Jail for Possession of Schedule I Drugs (Marijuana), 2cts of Possession of Schedule II Drugs (Lortabs) and (Crack Cocaine), and Possession w/intent to Distribute Schedule II Drugs (Cocaine).
