Lafayette, LA – On May 12, 2015, at approximately 1:20 pm, Lafayette Police responded to a parking lot in the 4400 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway regarding an armed robbery. According to the victims, a black male suspect approached them at their vehicle in the parking lot armed with a handgun and demanded their keys and wallets. The suspect stole the property and then fled the area in a light blue Dodge Caravan. The two female victims were not injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age, 5’7” to 5’8” tall with gold teeth and a goatee. He was accompanied by a heavy set black female. The two suspects were operating a light blue Dodge Caravan which displayed a paper Indiana license plate number E576699. (Pictures below of the actual van used in the crime.)
