OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) – The Opelousas Police Department seize a significant stash of various illegal narcotics while conducting a traffic stop.

On April 23, around 8:20 p.m. a patrol officer with the Opelousas Police Department observed a vehicle disobey a stop sign on the 900 block of S. Railroad Ave.

The officer conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the stop, authorities tell KLFY the officer developed sufficient cause to conduct a search of the vehicle.

The search resulted in the officer finding a significant stash of various illegal narcotics.

  1. Pint of promethazine syrup
  2. Several vyvanse pills
  3. Several tramadol
  4. Several bags of hydro marijuana
  5. Bag of crystal meth
  6. Several pills of ecstasy
  7. A very small bottle of PCP

The driver of the vehicle was cited and released on a citation.

A passenger in the vehicle identified as Mr. Charles Tyler Dozier of Lafayette, La. was arrested for possession with intent to distribute schedule I drugs, possession with intent to distribute schedule IV drugs, and possession with intent to distribute schedule II drugs.
