Project Front Yard, a Lafayette-based initiative to encourage the community to unite in cleaning their “front yards” has been extended to Iberia Parish.

The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce and Iberia Industrial Development Foundation join other civic organizations and public bodies in sharing the Project Front Yard brand, started in Lafayette last year. The hope is the initiative would promote a cultural change and open collaboration among residents to clean up their communities’ appearance.

April 18 is set to be a community-wide beautification day for the parish.
