Rayne named cleanest city in a district competition

The city of Rayne has been named the cleanest city in a district competition.

The Louisiana Garden Club Federation puts on the contest, and every year cities from all over the state compete for the title. Rayne has won the competition 24 times.

Mayor Chuck Robicheaux says the city’s oldest and most dedicated workers are real assets in this type of competition. He says everyone involved has a sense of pride and competitiveness and also adds the Frog Capital of the world now looks forward to entering the statewide competition.
