More than 20 years after they last coached together, the Ryan brothers are set to be reunited on the same staff.
Rob Ryan will work under his twin brother Rex on the Buffalo Bills, FOX Sports’ Alex Marvez reported Sunday. It was not immediately clear what Rob Ryan’s role would be.
The two last coached together in 1995 under their father, Buddy Ryan, on the Arizona Cardinals.
Rob Ryan was fired as the New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator in November with the team ranking last in almost every defensive statistical category. The unit finished 31st in total defense on the season.
The Bills also had a disappointing defense in Rex Ryan’s first season as coach. The group ranked 19th in total defense, and multiple players expressed frustration with the scheme.
