A Youngsville subdivision has been plagued with sewage issues.

One resident, who’s now speaking out, said the problems have affected his health. Resident, Brandon Rodrigue, said he’s called his water provider, Total Environmental Solutions, several times and still nothing has been done to fix the problem.

“I’ve been calling them to come out here and try to fix it, but they don’t want to come out here. Their manager told the service people they are not allowed to come to this address,” said Rodrigue.

Toilet paper and human waste sit outside of Rodrigue’s home, and he says TESI is the water provider for the subdivision.

Rodrigue, a former employee of the company, claimed he was told he was responsible for cleaning the sewer.

“From my clean out to underneath my trailer that’s all my property. I have to clean that which is understandable, but from the clean out to their line that’s on them,” said Rodrigue.

He says previous residents had the same problem.

“Their plumbers told them it was a mess up on TESI’s end by their connection that goes to the main line which is underneath the road,” said Rodrigue.

Rodrigue said  running water in his home has also been a cause for concern with the discoloration. He states the water has slim in it and smells like chlorinated swimming water which he believes is the reason he has had to go the emergency room three times. Those visits were possibly connected to the sewage issue.

“From the 18th to the 21st of December, I had to go to the hospital because I broke out with rashes,” said Rodrigue.

He claimed doctors narrowed the cause down to the water and has started a petition to get TESI out of the neighborhood.

News Ten called TESI numerous times and we haven’t received a response yet.
