A section of Johnston Street was reduced to one lane while fire crews battled a shed fire.

Around 2 P.M. on Monday, firefighters responded to the 7500 block of Johnston Street to a reported structure fire. The shed sustained heavy fire damage. The flames were closing in on a nearby mobile home, but firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading. The shed owner told fire officials that he was burning trash inside the structure. Ash from the fire ignited nearby combustibles and quickly spread

There were no injuries reported.
