The community will have an opportunity to stamp out hunger with by participating in a National Food Drive on Saturday.

The National Association of Letter Carriers, U.S. Postal employees, United Way of Acadiana and FoodNet – the Great Acadiana Food Bank have partnered for this food drive.The food donated will stay in the communities For example, if you live in Broussard and you leave can goods by your mailbox, that food will stay in that community. This drive is important because this food will last the food bank until their next big drive, which is in November.

In Lafayette Parish, you can leave non-perishable food items right by your mailbox or in your mail room for postal workers to collect. You can also drop off your donation at the Bertrand Drive Post Office location.
