Two dollars and a little hope is all that stands between whoever will be the lucky winner of the largest lottery prize in U.S. history.

Saturday millions anxiously waited to hear those five magic numbers.

Now, as the prize money continues to grow, many still have hope to be the next winner.

“Yes ma’am, you never know,” said Bryan Lassegne.

Bryan Lassegne decided to buy his first lottery ticket Sunday.

He says the jackpot is too high, to not take a chance.

“You can’t win if you don’t play,”” said Lassengne.

The pot is expected to grow to 1.3 billion dollars over the next few days.

And with tickets prices only two bucks a pop, local gas stations are booming with business.

“Last night was crazy. Everybody was just coming in, it was wrapped around the whole store,” said a local gas station employee.

And late hours, didn’t stop the crowd.

“As soon as I would go to the back to do paper work, I’d look up at the camera and she’s got a whole line and I had to come help her. It’s been crazy.”

Fallen Spears bought three tickets.

Like many others she hopes to be the next billionaire.

“Oh! The first thing I’d buy is a car and a house. Pay off my bills and travel the world with my babies and my husband,” said Spears.

The next Powerball drawing will be Wednesday night at 9:59 P.M.

“The odds of winning this Powerball are one in 292 million.
