Almost 3,000 people came to the Wyndham Garden Lafayette today for the Ambassador Town Center retail career fair.
Representatives from 17 companies interviewed applicants for various positions at restaurants and retail stores at the new shopping complex.
Ryan LaGrange, a spokesperson for the Lafayette Economic Development Authority, said in an email that the event had a final turnout of 2,800 job seekers.
Over 700 candidates went through the expo in the first hour alone.
The new Ambassador Town Center, located at the intersection of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Kalsite Saloom Road, is scheduled to open in March.
