LAFAYETTE, La. (The Daily Advertiser) – Rapper Lil Wayne will perform a free concert for University of Louisiana at Lafayette students Monday, April 18, at 8 p.m. in the Cajundome.
The free concert, which the New Orleans rapper announced last month, will be open to students, faculty, and staff and are available on a first-come basis. Tickets will be available here.
Members of the Zeta Xi chapter of UL’s Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity won the concert from TIDAL music-streaming service’s online Social Wave for Change competition. Alpha Phi Alpha collected nearly 7,000 donated bottles of water for those affected by a contaminated water source in Flint, Michigan. An online vote determined the winner of the free concert.LIL WAYNE: Rapper to perform at UL as part of volunteer initiative
