UPDATE: As of 8:40 p.m. Cleco is reporting that power has been restored to all, but 39 homes and businesses.
A widespread power outage is being reported Sunday afternoon in Evangeline Parish. According to officials with CLECO, the largest outage is affecting 2678 customers in Pine Prairie, Ville Platte, Mamou and Chataignier. There was no information released about what caused the outage and when it would be restored.
