New Orleans officials have released plans for a public visitation and a memorial Mass for slain police officer Daryle Holloway.

Holloway was shot to death last weekend.

The city says a public visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Rhodes Funeral Home on Washington Avenue in the city’s Broadmoor area. The public viewing and memorial Mass is set for Saturday at St. Maria Goretti Church on Crowder Boulevard in eastern New Orleans. The viewing begins at 7 a.m., with the Mass to begin at 11 a.m.

Burial will take place at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3 on Esplanade Avenue.

Holloway was killed while transporting a prisoner. The prisoner, who was re-captured the next day, was booked with first-degree murder.
