DONALDSONVILLE, La. (KLFY) – The band director of Westgate High School has been arrested on the charge of indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Lt. Col. Bobby Webre said Jeremy Conner, 30, of Baton Rouge, was found on Wednesday afternoon hiding in a 16-year-old girl’s closet.

Conner is listed as a band teacher on Westgate High School’s website.

Detectives began investigating Conner on April 8, 2016 and learned Conner had allegedly been communicating with the juvenile since last year.

“Conner admitted to sending inappropriate text messages to the juvenile on various occasions,” according to Webre.

Conner has been booked into the Ascension Parish Jail. No bond has been set yet.

Webre said more charges against Conner are possible as the case is still under investigation.
