BATON ROUGE, La. (KLFY) The University of South Carolina and the South Carolina Gamecocks sent their equipment truck to Baton Rouge Friday to aid in the ‪#‎LAFlood‬ relief.

When South Carolina experienced devastating loss and pain as a result of historic flooding there in October 2015, LSU came together to help during the recovery.

During that historic flood, LSU hosted the Gamecocks in a football game originally scheduled for Williams-Brice Stadium on Oct. 10.

All net proceeds from the game were given by LSU to South Carolina.

Also, following the game, an autographed game-worn jersey from LSU running back Leonard Fournette raised funds for South Carolina flood relief.

Now, a loss and pain all too familiar has hit Baton Rouge and the ‪#‎Gamecocks‬ are paying it forward.  A note left by team members said:

“With best wishes for a full and speedy recovery and with love from your friends at Carolina.”

And we say “THANK YOU,” GAMECOCKS!
