On Newsfeed Now for April 12 we began with what everyone in the South is talking about; that dry gross powder that coats our houses and cars, and just causing havoc on our well being–pollen.
A photographer in North Caroline captured an allergy sufferer’s nightmare. Photographer Jeremy Gilchrist described the scene as pollmageddon. KARK’s Meteorologist Natalie Walters joined us to talk about levels of pollen in the natural state.

Day one of the Masters is in the books and it was a great day for golf fans across the world as some of the biggest names made their way to the top of those icon leaderboards. At 4:35 WJBF’s Ashley Osborne gave us a live update on the action.

Next, at 11:16 we shake it off to Tennessee for a heartfelt story about pop music star Taylor Swift and her biggest fan. While you might not like her music it’s impossible not to like T-Swifts heart–she’s a giver and is constantly trying to make a difference. Never in her wildest dreams did T-Swift fan Lindsey Sizmore think she would find herself in a hospital after a car accident. She’s recovering from major injuries and probably some Bad Blood from the wreck but all of that was push aside when she got a delicate message from her favorite artist. WKRN’s Stephanie Langston has the story.

Finally, at 16:10 our last story takes us to southwest Missouri where a kid is doing amazing things. Kyleigh Barboa is only in the first grade but she’s already working. She’s a part-time mermaid, published her first book, and she makes great coffee. Hannah Zetti has more details.
